Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green welcomed their third child on Aug. 4, and decided to go the hipster route to name their newborn son. His name is Journey River Green.

Others didn’t quite get it.
Journey is a word name that’s actually gaining popularity among girls. According to Nameberry, the name appeals to parents “attracted to the idea of a spiritual – or even an actual – voyage.”
Considering this, it’s not surprising that the couple opted for this earthy moniker. After all, Fox previously opened up about how becoming a mother made her a more spiritual person.
“It changes your priorities and, for me, it changed the way that I think about human life and spirituality, because I feel as if I have known these souls before and I have lived with them in past lives,” she told the Mirror UK in 2014. “It has sent me off on a spiritual quest.”
Additionally, the 30-year-old actress named her other two boys – Noah Shannon, 3, and Bodhi Ransom, 2 – in similar fashion.
Noah is a biblical name that means “wandering.” It also refers to the Old Testament figure who built an ark to save his family and animals from a great flood.
Bodhi, on the other hand, means “awakening.” In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel earlier this year, Fox explained how it’s also “a spiritual term for when a Buddha becomes enlightened.”
Fox’s third pregnancy was confirmed in April after she debuted her baby bump on the CinemaCon red carpet in Las Vegas. The news came as a surprise to many, as the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” star and her 43-year-old husband Green had split in August 2015.
Since Fox’s pregnancy was confirmed, a source revealed to E! News that the couple’s divorce won’t happen “anytime soon.”
“Brian and Megan have been working on themselves as individuals and things have gotten better between them as a couple,” the source said. “They have been getting along great. They are best friends and know each other very well.”
The couple was also previously spotted taking their kids on vacation to Hawaii and Disneyland.
Based on this, it sounds like Fox and Green are one happy family, especially thanks to their newest addition. Congrats!
