CALGARY — A charge of second-degree murder has been laid against a 28-year-old Calgary woman in the death of her three-year-old boy earlier this year.
Police say they found Isaiah Zoue dead when they were called to check on the welfare of a resident at a northwest-area home on the evening of Saturday, Jan. 30.
A woman who was in the home at the time was taken to hospital in stable, non-life-threatening condition.
Investigators say following an autopsy and additional tests, the child's death has been classified as a homicide — the 17th in Calgary this year.
The suspect, Fatim Bamba, will appear in court tomorrow.
Police are asking anyone who may have information on the death to contact them.
