A woman says she saw Kiefer Sutherland taking a ride on the rocket in Toronto on Thursday night, and, as many locals have dealt with this scorching summer, he even ended up in a TTC subway car that didn't have air conditioning.

Twitter user Safiah C. from Scarborough spotted the 49-year-old actor on a train on the Bloor subway line, when temperatures hit 29.2 C but felt like 38 with the humidex, according to the CBC. And not even Sutherland was immune to the stifling heat.

Safiah tweeted: "LMAO I literally just took one of the non air conditioned Bloor trains with Kiefer Sutherland. 'it's really hot on this train' #tiff #topoli."

She then followed up with a photo of the queasy-looking star.

Toronto residents have lately come down hard on the TTC for subway cars with broken air conditioning, forcing commuters to suffer in hot conditions every day. According to the Toronto Star, the TTC estimates 15 to 20 per cent of the 370 cars on Line 2 don't have working air conditioning.

On Wednesday, Toronto mayor John Tory accepted a commuter's offer of riding the Bloor-Danforth line from end to end to see what commuters have to deal with regularly.

After arriving at the final stop, Tory told reporters that the 90-minute subway ride, which faced high temperatures, delays and a medical emergency, was extremely hot.

"I was able to experience not only the discomfort, which was considerable, of being in a hot car, but also the experience of a transit system that was experiencing on that particular day and that particular time, delays that were causing people to fret," he said.
