RED DEER, Alta. — A pastor in central Alberta has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman.

Stanley Richard Schalk, who is 57, is co-owner of Potter's Hands Developments, which operates several affordable housing buildings in Red Deer.

He has been a volunteer pastor with Potter's Hands Ministries for 15 years.

A 43-year-old woman told court Schalk put his hand up her shirt and grabbed her breast while at a picnic near Delburne on June 15, 2015.

Schalk told court that while he didn't ask for permission to touch the woman's breast, she did not stop him from doing it, which made him believe it was OK.

A date for a pre-sentencing report will be set on Sept. 29.
