Adam Levine Baby Name: Singer Goes All '80s When Naming Daughter

The Maroon 5 frontman welcomed his daughter on Wednesday.

Adam Levine’s baby girl is finally here! The Maroon 5 frontman and his wife, Victoria Secret model Behati Prinsloo, welcomed their daughter on Wednesday.

“Adam was in the delivery room holding Behati's hands. They both cried when she was born,” a source told E! News of the baby’s birth. “They are both speechless on how this moment feels as new parents.”

The couple opted for a vintage name for their daughter: Dusty Rose Levine. For parents of the '80s, this is a blast from the past, as dusty rose was a highly-popular colour of the time in both fashion and décor. (And what do you expect from a dad who sings in a band called Maroon?!?!?)

While Levine and Prinsloo’s baby name is certainly unique, it follows the Hollywood trend of choosing colour names. Beyoncé and Jay Z, for instance, have a daughter named Blue, Drew Barrymore’s daughter is Olive, and Emily Blunt and John Krasinski’s daughters are Hazel and Violet.

Dusty Rose is Levine and Prinsloo’s first child. When the couple first announced they were expecting a daughter back in April, fans went wild commenting on how the little one would have great genes thanks to her gorgeous parents.

While we have no doubt that the fans are right, we can’t wait for the couple to share a photo so we can see for ourselves!
