Netflix Canada: What's Good In October 2016?

Brace yourselves for some nostalgia.

Prepare for a wave of nostalgia.

Netflix Canada's haul of goodies in October will include some '90s hits. "The Mighty Ducks," "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Waterboy" arrive on the streaming service on Oct. 1.

Looking for something a bit more modern? Bizarre dramedy "The Lobster" and Marvel superhero flick "Deadpool" will be available, too.

Check out some of Netflix Canada's October offerings in the slideshow below. You can find our picks under the gallery:

Movies:

"The Prestige"

Magicians can be pretty cool. Competing magicians, though? That's next-level entertainment. Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman star in this tale of a tragic rivalry, directed by Christopher Nolan.

"Deadpool"

One of Marvel Entertainment's most twisted superheroes comes to the big screen in this Tim Miller film. Ryan Reynolds plays a foul-mouthed mercenary who's looking for some good ol' revenge.

"The Lobster"

If you thought your dating scene was tough, wait till you see this. "The Lobster," starring Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz, takes place in a bizarre world where single people are given 45 days to find love or get turned into an animal.

TV:

"Wentworth" - Season 4

Locked up in jail while she waits to stand trial in the murder of her husband, Bea Smith gets a crash course on the rules and rituals of prison.

Black Mirror - Season 3 Part 1

Charlie Brooker's series holds up a — sorry — mirror to our hyper-connected modern world to only make it absolutely terrifying. Watch this on your phone for added effect!
