Janet Jackson has officially confirmed that she’s pregnant at age 50. Speaking to People magazine, the R&B singer said, “We thank God for our blessing.”
This is the first time Jackson has publicly acknowledged that she’s expecting her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana. Back in April, the singer announced she would be postponing her Unbreakable World Tour in order to plan her family. The following month, a source confirmed to ET Online that Jackson was pregnant.
Along with her confirmation to People magazine, the singer also released a new photo showing off her adorable baby bump.
On Twitter, fans couldn’t help but gush over how gorgeous the mom-to-be looked.
Since reports of Jackson’s pregnancy broke in the spring, the singer has kept a low profile. The 50-year-old was only spotted with her baby bump once while shopping in London last month.
While Jackson has not given details about her upcoming bundle of joy, such as sex or due date, a source told People that the first-time mom-to-be couldn’t be happier.
“She is super excited about her pregnancy and is doing extremely well,” the insider said. “She actually feels very good about everything.”
