EDSON, Alta. — Mounties are accusing two men of switching seats before a traffic stop in west-central Alberta.

RCMP say police pulled over a car in Edson on Saturday, and spoke to the person in the driver's seat.

The officer asked the man to do a roadside breath test and after doing it, the man was arrested.

Another man in the vehicle was also arrested and both were taken back to the detachment to provide breath samples.

Police say both breath samples were over the legal limit.

Several charges, including impaired operation of a motor vehicle and impaired care or control of a vehicle, as well as obstructing a peace officer, are pending against both men.

Both accused, who police didn't name, are to appear in Edson provincial court on Nov. 15.
