Frightening footage posted to YouTube on Thursday shows a great white shark pulverizing a cage with a diver inside.
The incident happened last week off the coast of Mexico's Guadalupe Island, according to ABC News.
Ming Chan, the diver, luckily made it out safe. “It happened so fast. The other divers just kept telling me how lucky I am," he told the network.

Guadalupe Island is a popular destination for great white shark sightings.
But while the scene might depict a vicious shark attack, the videographer stresses that was not the case.
"When a great white shark lunges and bites something, it is temporarily blinded," they explained in the video's description.
"They also cannot swim backwards. So this shark lunged at the bait, accidentally hit the side of the cage, was most likely confused and not able to swim backwards, it thrust forward and broke the metal rail of the cage."
