Video Of Guelph, Ontario Bus Driver Helping Senior Goes Viral

The mayor of Guelph, Ont. wants to meet with him.

Footage of a bus driver in Guelph, Ont. who parked his vehicle to help a senior has gone viral, racking up more than 385,000 views on Imgur as of Monday.

The elderly woman "could barely manage to put one foot in front of the other," Dan Kochkovski wrote in a description of the video on YouTube.

'A hero to many'

"He patiently walked with her, having her body lean against his left arm, and helping her climb into the bus."

Guelph Transit retweeted a link to the video and said the organization is proud of the bus operator.

The driver hasn't been identified yet, but city staff are working on finding and recognizing him for his help, according to CTV News. The city's mayor, Cam Guthrie, also wants to meet and thank the driver.

"Thank you bus driver. Maybe this is what you do every day, without asking for anything in return," Kochkovski wrote on YouTube.

"But I only saw you today and just wanted to thank you and acknowledge your kindness! YOU ARE A HERO TO MANY!"
