Tim Horton's Former Home Selling In Toronto For $699,900

True story.

If you need a place to live in Toronto, why not try Tim Horton's?

No, not the coffee joint. A Scarborough, Ont. bungalow that once belonged to Tim Horton himself is actually on sale for $699,900.

From the outside, the house at 1382 Warden Avenue looks like a sturdy, nondescript little property.

But lots of work has been done on the interior, including new hardwood flooring, a backsplash, light fixtures, and plenty more.

The home has five bedrooms — three on the main floor and two in the basement — and three bathrooms. The bottom floor can be rented out as an apartment.

Horton, who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1952 to 1970, moved into the home with his wife Lori when he signed to the team, The Toronto Star reported.

With an annual income of $9,000 in his first few seasons with the NHL, he also worked odd jobs during the offseason, the newspaper added.

He opened the first Tim Hortons restaurant in Hamilton in 1964, which (obviously) saw great success. Horton died in a car accident 10 years later, but his name lives on at 4,400 locations worldwide.
