The daughter of Russian oil tycoon Ilkhom Shokirova tied the knot in Moscow this week and for her special day she wore a jewel-studded dress by British designers Ralph & Russo worth $40 million RUB (which converts to about $860,000 CAD).
Umm, wow?
The couture gown, which featured hundreds of actual pearls and Swarovski crystals, along with little details like silver embroidery and floral appliqués, included such a long cathedral train and veil that it basically took up the entire reception ballroom.
According to the Daily Mail, the wedding included 900 guests who were wowed by a 10 foot tall wedding cake made by former boxer Renat Agzamov (four men had to carry it out, FYI). Entertainment cost about 30 million RUB (about $630,000 CAD).
Prior to the wedding, Madina, whose father is said to be the owner of the most luxurious hotel located in the city of Tashkent in Uzbekistan, spent her bachelorette party in the Spanish resort town of Marbella, where she flew in with all her friends on a private jet.
