Ah, the holidays. A time for good food, quality family time and, more importantly, stamping a butt-shaped dent in the couch while watching Netflix.
The streaming service has a haul of goodies coming up that will keep you glued to your screen.
Historical drama "12 Years a Slave" and war thriller "The Hurt Locker" are two excellent, award-winning entries coming to Netflix in December.
And Netflix's trove of original content also looks like it'll get even better with the Barack Obama biopic "Barry" and "Call Me Francis," a miniseries that follows the early life of Pope Francis.

"Barry"
This Netflix biopic follows a young Barack Obama while he was a student in New York City. This should serve as a nice distraction while the world prepares itself for a Donald Trump presidency.
"12 Years a Slave"
Steve McQueen's powerful 2013 film, which is based on a true story, follows Solomon Northup, a free black man who is abducted and sold into slavery.

"Captive" - Season 1
This documentary series dives deep into hostage situations around the world and explores the terrifyingly tense negotiations that go into resolving them.
"Call Me Francis" - Season 1
Another Netflix original, "Call Me Francis" is a four-part series that follows the early life of Jorge Mario Bergoglio before he became Latin America's first Pope.
