Hatchimals are the “it” toy of 2016, but unfortunately for parents that means they’re already sold out everywhere. If you weren’t able to get your hands on one of these, parenting expert Alyson Schafer has a few suggestions on how you can save Christmas.
One of her solutions is to leave your child a promissory note on Christmas morning. “There needs to be a promising note that says, ‘Your Hatchimal has not been laid yet, but it’s coming. And as soon as the next batch is born, we will get your order to you!’” Schafer explains in the video above.
On social media, parents have already shared a few different versions of this note.
To all my fellow parents! If you are hunting for these stupid freaking hatching things here's a way out for now. Legit every store is sold out and ppl are selling them on eBay for hundreds of dollars... I'm printing this and putting it in ryotts stocking and waiting til the demand for them slows so I can actually get one at retail! #hatchables #hatchimals
And some are even letting their Elf on the Shelf present them to their kids.
Find a printable promissory note here, and watch the video above for more ways to save Christmas when you can't find a Hatchimal.
