Amy Chang, CEO Of Accompany, Shares Her 'Rule Of Thumb' For Firing Employees

She says it's a tough decision, but an important one.

Firing an employee is one of the most difficult decisions a manager has to make, and it can be even trickier to know when it's time to let them go.

Amy Chang, the CEO and founder of virtual assistant app Accompany, says there's one sign that it's time to sever the tie.

She spoke at TechCrunch Disrupt London on Monday where she shared a piece of advice.

"If this person and their performance keep coming up in your head over and over before you close your eyes at night, and if you find yourself — I use this as a rule of thumb — having six or seven conversations with other team members about them over a fairly contained period of time, you already know the answer," Chang told the audience.
