It looks like Lady Gaga just performed a perfect illusion.
After dominating the 2016 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Paris, the American pop star performed for the British royal family during the Royal Variety Performance at Hammersmith Apollo in London, England on Tuesday, and for the special occasion, she covered up her arm tattoos.
Toning down her usual eccentric style to meet Charles, Prince of Wales, and wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, the 30-year-old "A Million Reasons" performer donned a delicate floor-length, pale-pink gown from Brandon Maxwell’s Spring 2017 collection featuring a halter-neck and oversized bow in the back.
The 30-year-old completed the look with minimal makeup and an elegant chignon.
And the performer, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, wasn't the only woman in the room called "Gaga." The Duchess of Cornwall told the Grammy award-winning singer that her grandchildren refer to her as "Gaga".
For many Lady Gaga fans, the tattoo-free looked didn't go unnoticed. Just a week ago, the singer posted this image of herself on Instagram, showing off her toned, inked arms.
This isn't the first time Mother Monster ditched her ink for a big performance. At the 2016 Golden Globes, the "American Horror Story" actress enlisted makeup artist Mike Mekash to cover up her many tattoos.
The secret to the seamless look? An acrylic adhesive-based makeup called Pax combined with skin illustratorsYahoo Beauty reports. So basically professional makeup often used in the movies.
