Here's A Very Catchy Christmas Carol About Consent

Ladies and gentlemen, take note.

'Tis the season for greetings, carols and... consent?

With so much controversy over the sexist language of popular Christmas tune "Baby It's Old Outside," the Canadian Women's Foundation decided to make their own carol — and trust us, it's pretty catchy.

"It's Freezing Out There," an ode to consent, encompasses exactly what consent means.

According to the foundation, 96 per cent of Canadians think sex should be consensual, but 67 per cent of them don't know what consent means.

"That means only a third of respondents were able to recognize all forms of communication needed to get consent to a sexual activity. And most Canadians did not understand that consent must be both positive and ongoing," the foundation said in a statement.
