Amy Grant's Daughter Donates Kidney To BFF

Amazing!

Amy Grant's 27-year-old daughter, Gloria Mills Chapman (aka Millie), gave her best friend, Kathryn Dudley, the best gift of all on Tuesday: her kidney.

According to Millie's dad, Gary Chapman, the two have known each other their entire lives. "And when Kathryn was in need, turns out Millie was a perfect match," he wrote on Facebook. "I'm so proud of her, words fail me."

Gary, who is a singer and songwriter, updated everyone on Millie's condition post-surgery: "Millie is out of surgery and everything is looking good. She'll be hurting for awhile but healing is underway. Kat is in recovery as well. Thank you all for your prayers and kindness. God is good."

Gary and Amy Grant were married in 1982 (they were pretty much the king and queen of the Evangelical Christian music scene) and divorced in 1999. They had two kids together, their daughter Millie and a son named Matthew.

Amy married country singer Vince Gill in 2000.

Fans of Amy and Gary's have been sending Millie their well-wishes on social media.

"You raised a very caring, compassionate, intelligent, beautiful and kind woman," wrote one fan. "You must be very proud of her. Hope she's not in pain and both heal quickly. That is one unselfish act. Words can't describe how proud I am of her and I don't even know her."

"What an awesome gift of love! My sister gave me one of her kidneys last August," shared another. "It truly takes a special person to give the gift of life. Praise God for medical miracles."
