Mother Claims Daycare Worker Breastfed Her Child

Shortly after the incident the child was rushed to the hospital.

A North Carolina mother wants criminal charges brought against a daycare worker whom she claims breastfed her lactose intolerant son.

“To me, a criminal act was committed against him,” Kaycee Oxendine said. “Not only did you put your breast to my son, you also made my son sick because he’s lactose (intolerant). So you’ve put something in his body that his body can’t digest.”

Oxendine's son was born premature and can't have any milk products. Following the incident on Friday, Oxendine was forced to rush her child to UNC Hospital as he became violently ill and was vomiting.

"As a mom, you've taken something from me, because I wasn't able to defend my child," said Oxendine, who was in another room teaching a pre-kindergarten class at the time of the incident.

Daron Council, director of Carborro Early School, confirmed to Global News that there is security footage of the woman and the child.

Council also told ABC news the worker, who was licensed and had over 10 years of experience, no longer works at the school. He also stated that he notified local police and his daycare licensing agency within hours of the incident.

"I'm not angry at the director, I'm not angry at the childcare centre. I'm very angry at the employee," said Oxendine. "I do hope that there's justice for my son."
