Katy Perry Loves Hillary Clinton So Much She Named A Shoe After Her

The singer just took her love of Clinton to a whole new level.

Katy Perry just took her love of Hillary Clinton to a whole new level.

The 32-year-old singer is launching a new footwear line and has named one of her shoes after Clinton herself.

“It’s got stars in the heel, so it's a pep in her step,” Perry said of the classic pink pump to People magazine.

Clinton has always been one of Perry’s idols, so it’s not surprising that she would name a shoe after her. During the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign, the singer was extremely vocal about her support for Clinton.

She also wore a white pantsuit and an armband that read “Persist” to the 2017 Grammys on Sunday to show her continuous support.

But Clinton is just one of many people who are getting a shoe named after them. The “Chained to the Rhythm” singer actually named all 40 of her shoes in Katy Perry Collections after her favourite female role models.

“I chose some of my favorite girlfriends and my female family members and named all the shoes after them,” she told People magazine. “I didn't necessarily shape the shoe[s] after [each woman], but... I tried to pair the shoes that best represented their personality.”

Other celebrities who got their own kicks include “Girls” stars Lena Dunham and Allison Williams, whose shoes are very unique from one another.

Dunham’s, for instance, is a colourful, sequined sneaker to show off her tomboy vibe, whereas Williams’ is a black pump with a gradient purple heel to highlight her classy, but edgy side.

Katy Perry Collections will launch on Feb. 16, with shoe prices ranging from $59 to $299.
