The hashtag #DisabledAndCute is trending on Twitter. And boy, is it a beautiful thing.
Keah Brown, a senior entertainment writer at Cliche Magazine started the trending topic on Sunday, to celebrate her self-love journey.
"Disabled people are presumed to be unattractive and unlovable in a romantic way," Brown told Teen Vogue on Wednesday.
"In my opinion, the hashtag proves that to be false. The celebrations should show able-bodied people that we aren't the caricatures they see in movies and TV shows. We are much more."
With almost 400 shares and more than 1,000 likes, many others have joined in to show the world that beauty is not a one-size-fits-all kind of deal.
And many have applauded the movement, leaving heartfelt replies to those who have shared their photos on Twitter.
However, while there were some naysayers, Brown bravely addressed the matter and tweeted out that she still believes in her mission.
"Here's the thing, not everyone is going to like me or what I do but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop," she wrote. "I've got a world to change!"
