Jobs In Canada That Are High-Pay And Low-Stress

You can have it all!

There are two things every working Canadian probably wishes they had: more money and less stress.

But is there such a thing as a high-paying job that isn't super stressful?

We've complied a list of jobs in Canada that meet both requirements.

We used PayScale to determine the average salaries for jobs available in Canada, and compared them with the stress level rankings for each job as determined by Occupational Information Network (O*NET), a U.S. Department of Labor database.

O*NET ranks job stress ("stress tolerance") on a scale of zero to 100; the lower the number, the lower the stress of the job. Each job in the database is ranked on how much criticism workers face and the amount of high stress they have to deal with at work.

And while many of these jobs require a fair bit of education and knowledge (orthodontists and law professors, for example), there are other jobs that require only a bachelor's degree and the drive to succeed.

We found 19 jobs that have a stress tolerance of 70 or below, and pay more than C$65,000 per year, on average.
