Newfoundland Snowstorm Leads To High Drifts Of Snow On Road

The region was digging out from beneath a blizzard.

A snowstorm on Newfoundland’s Northern Peninsula last week created some drama for drivers.

A video shot in St. Anthony, Nfld. shows cars driving between two high walls of snow.

The town, along with the rest of the peninsula and southern Labrador, spent last weekend digging out from a multi-day blizzard, according to CBC News.

Photos shared on Twitter showed the sheer height of the piles.

And that area, along with the rest of the island, shouldn’t expect any relief soon.

Environment Canada predicts heavy snowfall west of the Avalon Peninsula Friday and freezing rain further east. All of Newfoundland may see high winds Saturday and Sunday.
