New York Amtrak Train Showers Commuters With Snow In Wake Of Winter Storm Stella

It's a wake-up call they won't soon forget.

How's this for a morning wake-up call?

Commuters waiting for the Amtrak train in Rhinecliff, New York Wednesday morning got a first-hand look at one of the most effective snow-removal jobs ever caught on tape.

Unfortunately for them, it also meant being pummeled by a massive wall of snow.

The train was the first to arrive to the station in the aftermath of winter storm Stella, which left much of New York state buried under several feet of snow.

The good news is no one was seriously injured, although a witness told NBC some travellers were knocked to the ground by force of the projectile snow. One woman sustained a minor head injury.

Here's the footage, slowed down, so you can really appreciate the wallop these commuters received.
