Chelster Hall In Oakville, Ont. May Be Canada's Priciest Home Ever Listed

The 47,000-square foot mansion is the stuff of movie fantasy.

Winning the lottery might not be enough to buy what may be Canada's most expensive luxury home.

Chelster Hall in Oakville, Ont. will set you back a cool $65 million.

Many luxury homes in Canada are sold privately, but as far as we know, this may be the most expensive one ever listed.

The 47,000-square foot mansion is the stuff of movie fantasy, complete with a 12-car garage, a spiral staircase in the library, and a fireplace next to the pool.

Located at 1150 Lakeshore Road E., the massive property overlooks Lake Ontario, and is about a half-hour's drive from downtown Toronto.

The home is listed with The Invidiata Team, a RE/MAX franchise based in Oakville.

According to real estate search portal Point2 Homes, the second-most expensive property currently listed in Canada is a group of three homes in Vancouver, which are asking $46.8 million.

Correction: An earlier version of this article described the Invidiata Team as a group of three real estate agents from the same family. In fact, the RE/MAX franchise has 15 members. HuffPost Canada regrets the error.
