Andrew D. Miall is Professor of Geology at the University of Toronto, and holder of the Gordon Stollery Chair in Basin Analysis and Petroleum Geology.

He received the D.Sc. degree from the University of London in 192. He was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) in 1995 and served as President of the Academy of Science of RSC from 2007 to 2009. From 2004 to 2004 he served as National Representative for Canada to NATO’s “Committee on the Challenges of Modern Society.”

Miall was a member of the federal Oil Sands Science Advisory Panel, October-December 2010, and the Alberta Environmental Monitoring Panel from January-June 2011.
