Born and raised in Toronto. Graduated from the University of Toronto in 2011 with an honours B.A double major in Women and Gender Studies and Equity Studies and a minor in Sociology. Recently graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Masters in Public Health, Social Inequities and Health stream. There I worked with critical theory focusing most of my research on intravenous drug use and the implementation and expansion of harm reduction programs such as sae injection sites. I currently live in Toronto.

How One Toronto Art Piece Shines A Light On Homelessness

Over the past decade, Canada has seen a proliferation of high quality, thoughtful research on homelessness. We now know that homelessness is caused by a combination of individual and systemic factors from unemployment and disability, to lack of coordinated services and a hostile housing market. While the solutions to homelessness are complex, the cause is simple: a lack of affordable housing.
