From her early start as a stylist with MTV to her successful career as an editor of major design and lifestyle magazines in Canada, such as House & Home, Chatelaine, and Chocolat, Janette Ewen has always taken an experiential approach to creativity, following her mantra “one must live it to create it”.

As a leading lifestyle expert in Canada for more than a decade, Janette lends her creative approach to design, decorating, entertaining and fashion.

Janette not only regularly appears on various national shows in Canada, including Cityline and Breakfast Television, but also shares her design expertise with the U.S. audience through The Decorating Adventures of Ambrose Price (VH1) and the series From the Ground Up starring Debbie Travis. She has also co-hosted celebrity designer Ty Pennington’s latest TV show Inside the Box, which aired in the U.K., Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Switzerland, Sweden, Russia and Australia.

Sharing her time between Canada and the United States, Janette is a partner at Parker Barrow creative studio where she is designing and creating spaces and products that would find a happy home in her fast-paced, whimsical life.
