In recent years, gluten has been getting a bad rap due to the mass media, celebrities who are so-called gluten experts and books such as Wheat Belly and Grain Brain. For those who don't know, gluten is a protein found in grains such as wheat, barley and rye.

Aggie Days: Now With More Exciting Displays!

Among other amazing exhibits, the mama goats recently had their babies so the little kids (baby goats) will only be about a month old when they make their first appearance at Aggie Days. They are too cute to miss.

Waste Not, Want Not

Growing up I remember my mom saying this when I didn't finish my food. And by the sounds of it, others could benefit from remembering this popular idiom as well. Recently I read that the average American throws away 396 pounds of food each year, according to the Natural Resources Defense Council. This statistic doesn't surprise me.

Agriculture Misconceptions Run Rampant, But I'm Here To Change That

In the last several years I have become more and more aware of how disconnected the average consumer is from agriculture. Most people are now living in urban centres and have no connection to the farm. This stranger was a perfect example of this. He had many questions and many misconceptions about modern agriculture.
