Dennis Pilon is an Associate Professor of Political Science at York University in Toronto. His area of research broadly covers democracy and the process of democratization, including examinations of voting systems, institutional reform, and the impact of social inequality on democratic participation. He is the author of two books, The Politics of Voting: Reforming Canada's Electoral System, and Wrestling with Democracy: Voting Systems as Politics in the Twentieth Century West.
