Taylor Gunn

President of CIVIX

CIVIX is building Canadian students into citizens through innovative programming focused on elections, representation and government budgets. Student Vote, the flagship program of CIVIX, is a parallel election for students under the voting age that coincides with official election periods.

In the 2011 federal election, more than 563,000 students cast Student Vote ballots from nearly 4,000 schools representing 301 of Canada’s 308 electoral districts. Taylor has been recognized for his work by the Public Policy Forum, the Institute for Canadian Citizenship, Ashoka Canada, the Canadian Teachers’ Federation, the Ontario Teachers’ Federation, the Ontario School Boards’ Association and many others. Taylor considers it a privilege to work with schools and educators across Canada.
