The change in weather can wreck havoc on our hair. Our hair is exposed to so many toxins, both from products and from the environment. These three recipes will help your hair all year long.

Silky Soft Hair Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 egg Yolk

2 tbsp of olive oil

170 g/6 oz of liquid honey

1 drop of your favourite essential oil

Directions:

Mix the ingredients in a bowl. Blend. Apply to washed towel dried hair. Massage it thoroughly through the hair. Leave it on for 30 minutes then rinse. Repeat every two weeks

**Eggs contain tons of protein, something our hair needs to grown and stay healthily. Eggs are also filled with vitamin A,E,D and the fatty acids actually help to condition and moisturize the hair.

Manage your mane Hair Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 egg yolk

2 tbsp of sour cream

1 drop of lavender essential oil

1/2 or 1 avocado

Directions:

Mash avocado in a bowl. add the rest of the ingredients and blend together. Massage into dry hair. Leave in for 20 mintues. Rinse with warm water. Repeat once a week.

**Sour cream contains lactic acid, which will actually help cleanse the hairs. The milk fat will help to condition and moisturize the hair.

**Avocado is filled with monounsaturated fats, great for scalp stimulation, the more stimulation you have to the scalp and the follicles, the more nutrients the follicles are able to absorb.

Build-up Breakdown Hair Recipe:

Ingredients:

3-4 tbsp of baking soda

1 drop lemon essential oil

Water

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Stir until a thick paste forms. Massage into washed, towel dried hair. Leave in for five minutes. Wash and rinse. Repeat once every four to six months.

**Baking soda is a natural abrasive; it's also a chemical, so you need to be careful with this recipe. If you have very curly hair, use the other 2 recipes. Baking Soda will also help to balance the PH level of your hair and strip away all the dirt.

**Lemon essential oil is filled with vitamin C, this will help to clean the hair and give it added shine.
