There's always going to be "the next hottest trend" trying to sell you on how you can have the best mind blowing, knock your hipster-socks off kind of sex. You know, the good-good kind of get-down. Yet, what is the actual key to having a great sex life? Eating more kale? Practicing vaginal weightlifting? Cultivating perfectly pruned pubes? To be honest, there isn't one magical remedy that's applicable to everyone -- but when you give yourself permission to be connected to your body, the better you will feel about experiencing pleasure within it!

There are so many reasons to practice yoga -- because yoga is for everybody. That's the beauty of it. For those who give it a chance, your practice can work wonders to enrich your mind, body, and spirit. It can also help you to feel better in your body -- the #flawless kind of feel-good. Yoga is called a practice for a reason; form and technique are things that can be learned and developed -- it's just like sex in that regard. For both the new and experienced yogis alike, the key is just to start. In fact, yoga teacher Megan Campbell says, "[yoga] might begin to release some of your inhibitions, deeply lubricate your inner body, and [help you] feel sensual and sexy in your physical home." That's why yoga and sex are a great compliment; and when the masters of the Kama Sutra are also preaching the power in the movement of yoga, you should listen.

No one is a Don Juan their first time around, and no one is B.K.S. Iyengar either. It takes practice, diligence, and a continuing strong sense of determination to reach your own sexual goals and a regular yoga practice. Yoga and sex are obviously then, a perfect match; destined to be intertwined from the beginning. That's why we, Dr Carlen -- Sexologist and Relationship Expert and Gillian Mandich, PhD(c), health and fitness expert and certified yoga instructor have come together to give you our suggestions of some of the best yoga poses that will help to intensify your sex life. These poses are meant for every body and every level of ability. It's up to you to take the first step towards rewriting your personal pleasure map, so go ahead, make that commitment and welcome yourself to a deeper understanding of your body as a pleasure vessel.

*The following poses can be done individually, or completed as an entire sequence. As with any yoga practice, it is important to respect your body's limitations and abilities. If you have any medical concerns, please discuss with your doctor before practicing yoga.
