Chase has been a student at the Academy of Martial Arts for over 11 years. Being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) at age 10, he hasn't let it get in the way of a very active and exciting lifestyle recently achieving his Shodan (1st degree Black Belt) ranking in Karate as well as racing at the highest levels of karting in Canada. He is just one example of living a healthy, full life with T1D and was one of the early inspirations behind Karate Chops Diabetes
