MWW used to be a store that sold useful men's clothing. It was one store where you could walk in and grab stuff off the rack without trying it on, because design and size were consistent from month to month. It is now a fashion store, and irrelevant to real life.

Instead of having a sign that says they now welcome women (makes me shudder) how about if they actually DID welcome women? I don't go to Mark's to buy pretty blouses. As a woman in the mining industry, I go there to buy steel toed boots, coveralls, gloves, reflective safety gear. While they do better than most, they have a long way to go before they make this gold miner happy. Love my Moxie work boots, hate my made-for-men coveralls. I can find women's work gloves there sometimes, but often there's 5 pairs to every 100 for men. How about a decent selection of Carharts for us? Same with work hoodies. So... extend a real welcome mat by supplying WORK clothes for women, I don't need another place to buy dress-up stuff.

I think it's a great ad! See, everybody is talking about it!
Oh, and just for the record, you're not the centre of the world anymore! Welcome to truly world of equality.
I suggest to move fully to equality by adopting the following:
1. Open conscription army to women.
2. Let men decide whether to keep the baby or not.
3. Make men equal caregivers on par with a woman.

Seriously, guys, fire everyone who was involved in that and did not go on record as saying it's a truly stupid idea. If they can't figure out in three seconds why that might be thought of as bad, they aren't smart enough to be an asset to your company in any capacity.

MWW is full of stereotypes for men and women. In the women's section you'll see casual/work clothes and for uniforms it's all scrubs. In the men's section you'll also see casual/work clothes and for their uniforms it's all manual labour construction type clothes. So a male nurse would have to shop in the women's section and a female construction worker has to shop in the men's section.
I work outdoors and I'd like to actually buy work clothes designed for women. I'm tired of buying men's clothes that don't quite fit in the chest and hips or buying something too big so it does.

Seriously? I shopped at MWW regularly while I was an industrial temp. They always had women's clothing that fit well, in larger sizes - especially the hoodies and T-shirts I needed for work back then. I used them as my goto source for casual layering stuff, because the stuff was always there, no seasonal unavailability crap.
I haven't been there since they started their more questionable ad campaigns. Their market research group is apparently not too good. Hope they get their act together before the damage is irreparable.

No more shall we gather amongst the Levis.
I can't believe the reaction to this marketing campaign. It's just overkill.
