After my ride home on the subway I entered street level and the unpleasant smell was overwhelming. When I arrived home I realized the same smell had permeated the hallways of my condo.

I thought I was imagining things. I knew there was a strange smell when I was coming home from work. I even looked on the bottom to see if I accidentally step in poop.

Smells in the burbs too. My guess is, it's the whole summer's worth of raccoon crap that's been collecting on everyone's rooftop.

City people. Jesus. If you'd lived in the country in the clean, fresh air your whole life and driven into Toronto on an average, typical day when Toronto smells just like Toronto, it would teach you a whole different meaning of the word, 'stink'. Not just TO, either - it's true of any major city. It takes about six months before one gets used to the stench and doesn't smell it any more. I'm surprised you city people don't pass out cold once you get outside the city limits. Oxygen rushes have been known to do that.

But if you are really, keenly interested in finding out where it's coming from, stop picking on the animals. That stuff makes incredibly good fertilizer - the smell is coming from somebody who is growing *food*. Think about that the next time you're scarfing down a burger, because you're stuffing yourself with the best part of *both ends* :D Love those tomatoes, huh?
