While I have absolutely nothing against people decorating their cubicles however they want I hope we don't end up with Canadian conservatives whining about an imaginary war on Christmas like they do on Fox News.

So true, Progressive, so true. So Fox News reaches/rules Canada? How sad. Repeat after me "The Market is not "the economy".

If this is an inclusive time of the year Tony, why are we not allowed to see the "benefits from the sellout to China??"
10:07 PM on 12/09/2012
I love christmas decorations and I love my God but, there are limits and es[pecially with our government.
Where is the christianity during thier working years and within thier ethics?? There is none.
So,have a good time now ,we know what kind of hypocrites you all are when it comes to honouring Gods christian ways. You are all more like the satan we all fear.
Maybe we should be doing something about that.
God bless us all.My prayer is that all the nonchristians within our government will have repercussions. Especially next election.
Lies about everythin and here is another portrayal of what they are NOT!!!
MERRY CHRISMAS CANADA!

Decorating your cubicle for a holiday is the best (and perhaps only) thing about living in one.
09:53 PM on 12/09/2012
only liberals know what's best for people. conservatives don't.
06:43 AM on 12/10/2012
That's only because conservatives keep mistaking fetuses for actual living persons.
09:29 PM on 12/10/2012
so fetuses are not living?
01:18 PM on 12/10/2012
Liberal Party just means, ..well more LIBERAL, than conservative.. Conservative Party, ..or the PCP/ Progressive Conservative Party, ..which is more ( dare I say ) liberal, than just plain old conservative, ..but NOT liberal enough to be like,.. ummm.. liberal,.. because to some conservatives in Canada, the word liberal.. means socialist or ( and this one really makes me laugh) communist.. they are " progressive " conservatives, guess the old just plain conservative are the re-repressive kind ?? I degress.. when anyone thinks they "know" what's best for other people,.. well, I'll just say,.. that's not something to hang your hat on in the chest pounding arena..... Hey, what's a progressive liberal?.. Nude, says the conservative mind set. ... Oh.. blush, ..now that IS revealing...lol.
09:34 PM on 12/10/2012
liberals for some reason think that they need to be telling people how to live their lives from A to Z as well as regulating everything.  mcguinty liberals are an example of that.

I am a big separation of church and state kinda guy.....but decorations during the holidays is fine. There are 4 maybe five different holidays celebrated during this time.... as long as all of them are given a nod.... then people should be allowed to have blinking lights at their cubicle. Heck even atheists join in the fun.

I'm an atheist and honestly I don't care if government employees want to put christmas decorations in their offices. It's a phony / tacky holiday anyway. All the symbols (trees, gifts, lights, even celebrating it on dec 25th) are all pagan anyway. Jesus was not even born on dec. 25th, that's just the winter solstice that the pagan's celebrated. The entire holiday was invented by the catholic church, and then enhanced by corporations like hallmark and coca-cola. So go ahead and put little santas and reindeers and trees and lights and tinsels... there's literally nothing inherently religious about it.

Merry Pagan Giftmas to all
10:02 PM on 12/09/2012
And a Merry Pagan Giftmas to you as well. I think that's one of the most appropriate terms I've ever heard for this time of year.
10:36 PM on 12/09/2012
Pagan only are non-Christian in the harshest term, or those who are a member of the main religions.

Why not? if you get offended by someone else celebrating a holiday then something is very wrong with you.

And who says America doesn't have much in the way of exports these days. Enjoy the annual holiday "To decorate or not to decorate" slug-fest.

Way to go !! Finally someone steps up for diversity that isn't just trying to squash every tradition Canadians have grown up with.
12:50 AM on 12/10/2012
Not much diversity if only decorations for Christmas and Hanukkah are allowed.

Keep the Christ in Christmas.... they fit together so perfectly silly! Christians should be encouraged to be as holy as possible during the holidays. It looks good on 'em. Please don't suppress these people from celebrating their magic baby. Let them go on and on about virgin births of faith healers. Don't sweep this sub-culture under the rug. It deserves to be seen.

I don't know whether to say "OMG" or "Holy... "
you read my comment and thought I was a Christian? How? Seriously, how is that possible?
You're shamefully misusing the symbol in your avatar. That stylized A represents a certain level of conscientiousness that you aren't living up to. If you're getting comments on Huffpost so wrong, you can't expect anyone to trust your opinion of their bible.

Clement said, "This is an inclusive time of year."

Maybe he mis-spoke himself but... what the hell does that mean?

You  really should take the time to at least become conversant with Pastafarianism before making a fool of yourself on this board.
