"admitted to going regularly to church up until the last years of his life."

Did not know that going to church regularly was a "sin", a no-no, or even plainly wrong .... Somehow, people are becoming more and more judgemental about those of us who practise their faith by going to church regularly ... no one would say "going to the mosque, or temple or any other place of worship" ...

I am so glad that these hate-mongers and crazies are coming out of the wood work and that they are using twitter and social media to show the rest of us how INSANE they are. Please tell us exactly what you think and how you feel, you religious nuts. The more you do ,and the more it is on record the better. Now if they really wanted to have a say in politics ,we should cut all subsidies to religious groups and they can pay taxes, like the rest of society. We could use that money for mental health causes and helping the poor.

I'm inclined to be on the fence with Trudeau, but anybody who infuriates extremist religious groups like this is a friend of mine. This kind of moronic discussion clearly paints Christian fundamentalists into the same territory as fundamentalists from other religions. Boobquake anyone?

Sun Host Michael Coren posted the following: "Storm prevented Heretic Trudeau from speaking to RC students in Sudbury. Wonder whose side God was on.
******************************************

That's "Stunned" Host Michael Coren!

And Michael, is that the same Gawd who allowed 20 little children to be slaughtered because He didn't like the absence of ostentatious public prayer in schools? His being all-knowing should have informed Him that the little innocents HAD NO PART IN THE ABSENCE OF PRAYER IN SCHOOLS!

Brings a new meaning to "Suffer the little children...", doesn't it?

The institution that spent the 40's and 50's pressuring little girls in Quebec who got pregnant to carry the pregnancies to term and give the kids up for adoption, THEN turned around and talked a compliant fascist catholic provincial government to declare the same kids retarded so they could use them as cheap labor on Church properties ( the "Duplessis orphans"), the institution that continues to resist compensating these people whose lives they blighted for mercenary reasons, THIS institution is giving other people lessons in morality and ethics?

Religious extremists must hate, they have to hate just to make their own perverted version of religion look and appear better. The bible promotes love, caring, truth, compassion, yet they concentrate on hate and bigotry. They are to be pitied.

I had coffee with God this morning.. she told me to tell everyone to 'Grow the F up!' and vote for Trudeau. As well to not listen to the popes ranting.. the pope is cenial and actually really like gay people, he has a gay pen pal.. way to lead the pack Benidict!
Catholics.. wake up.. I was once a Catholic and I woke up, its nice to be grounded.
Merry Christmas!!

No storm is going to stop me from voting for him, and I'm a catholic. I can't understand why these people of religion use God in their point of view?
11:15 AM on 12/23/2012
These people must have zero confidence in how these Catholic children have been raised and taught if a single speaker with a different point of view can be such a threat. The suggestion that God intervened to prevent Trudeau from poisoning their minds yet allowed 26 innocent people to die at the hands of a maniac shows how desperate these groups are when it comes to pushing their own agenda. They're even willing to make God look cruel or impotent in order to show that he's on their side. I would be a lot more convinced of God's almighty power if he had produced a storm in Connecticut the day all those innocent children were gunned down, rather than simply prevent a politician from speaking at a school. I'd be interested to read what Trudeau's speech contained - I'm willing to bet it contained nothing about gay marriage or pro-choice. He should publish it.

Thanks.  I thought maybe it meant bombing Catholic churches and shooting priests -- the parallel of "anti-abortion extremism," meaning blowing up women's clinics and shooting doctors.
