As an entertainment writer whose first job was at a movie theatre and whose last job while finishing up journalism school was at a Blockbuster, I know a lot of stupid stuff. Like, it's embarrassing.

Some people have a head for numbers, others know their politics inside and out, but my brain is a wide expanse of random pop culture crap. It comes in handy when someone needs to know the name of an actor or a movie or a 2012 TV show that was cancelled after two episodes (that would be the awful Work It!) and IMDB isn't available. Pop Quiz, E!'s new game-show offering, is a show that'll make use of that trivial knowledge.

Now, get your pencils out and keep your eyes on your own paper -- because it's quiz time.

Who hosts the new E! show, Pop Quiz?

  • Devon Soltendieck
  • Ben Mulroney
  • Ryan Seacrest
  • Darrin Rose

Who acts as Pop Quiz's judge?

  • Elaine Lui
  • Leah Miller
  • Liz Trinnear
  • Emma Hunter

How many contestants does each game start with?

  • 10
  • 12
  • 20
  • 50

What does the winner of Pop Quiz get?

  • $500
  • $5,000
  • $50,000
  • One ... hundred ... billion dollars!

What's the object of Pop Quiz?

  • To see who knows the most pop songs
  • To see who knows the most about soda
  • To see who knows the most about pop culture
  • To see who knows the most about Pop Rocks

If you answered Devon Soltendieck, Emma Hunter, 10 contestants, $5,000 and pop culture, then you are five for five. Pop Quiz is a fast-paced game show that pits 10 contestants against one another to test their pop culture knowledge. Considering how popular gossip sites are, and how countless magazines and tabloids at the checkout line bombard you with gigantic bubble-gum pink fonts and huge glossy photos, Pop Quiz couldn't come at a better time.

While knowing Brangelina, Goop, Sandy, Biebs, Miley, Leo, LiLo and Bennifer (1.0 and 2.0) makes Pop Quiz an addictive watch, it's the banter between Soltendieck and Hunter that make it that much more fun. In each half-hour episode, the two play off each other like great pals -- great, bitchy pals -- who like to give each other a hard time. The wit is great, as is the sarcasm, so if you're looking for a traditional game show, this might not be it. But if you're looking to be entertained, then Pop Quiz is the show for you. Ready to get your pop culture on? Play at home and see if you can, at the very least, win bragging rights.

'Pop Quiz' airs Monday to Friday at 9 p.m. ET beginning Nov. 4 on E!.
