Branden Hussey isn't your typical fighter.

Though the 16-year-old has a form of muscular dystrophy and an amputated left arm, the Albuquerque teen hasn't let that stop him from competing on the mat through martial arts.

Getting on the floor with adults, not only has Hussey earned a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu, but he no longer has to attend physical therapy, as his doctors say his weekly workouts from the sport provide him with all the exercise he needs.

"It [martial arts] makes me feel human. It makes me feel like I can do anything," said Hussey in an interview with KOAT7 News.
