Gregory earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in 1999 and a Bachelor of Laws in 2002 from Queen's University. While at Queen's, Gregory competed in the Wilson Moot Competition, in which his team won the First Place Factum award. Following his call to the bar in 2003, Gregory attended the London School of Economics and Political Science and earned a Master of Laws degree in 2004.

Gregory has been practicing law since 2003, first as a litigator and corporate lawyer at two international full-service law firms, and then as a family lawyer. His practice includes all aspects of family law.

Outside of the office, Gregory is the President of the Canadian Friends of the London School of Economics and serves as Vice-Chair of the Executive Committee of the global LSE Alumni Association.
