Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper set Google Plus ablaze with cuteness this week when he posted not about political issues or government agenda, but pictures of his fluffy little cat, Stanley. Featured in his very own photo shoot, Stanley is pictured playing with a piece of string, performing a mid-air high five, and in two glamorous coy shots.
Of course, this isn't Stanley's first appearance on the Internet. Earlier this year Harper took to Facebook, asking fans and friends to help him name the little ball of fur.
In other high-profile cat news, PM Harper and his wife have shared their passion to give cats the vote, are actively involved in their local humane society, and Harper's image has even been highlighted in memes with overly friendly felines.
To quote one of the 50+ people who have commented on Stanley's photostream thus far, "Mr. Harper, I may disagree with your politics, but damn that is a cute kitten."
