The Huffington Post's Ottawa Bureau Chief Althia Raj took a stroll by Confederation Park Wednesday morning and snapped the photo below of the protesters camped out there.

About 50 tents are pitched in the park, according to the Ottawa Citizen. Occupy Ottawa laid claim to part of the park Saturday following a rally protesting economic inequality.

Occupy protests in Canada have been tame compared to those in the U.S. and Europe so far, and the Ottawa gathering has been no exception.

However, despite worsening weather, those in the park show no signs of packing up and nightly meetings on the direction of the protest continue.

The protesters will be marching to the Sheraton hotel in downtown Ottawa at 5:00 pm to protest a panel discussion organized by the Canadian International council on deepening ties with the United States, according to examiner.com.
