The Bow Time Lapse Video Shows Construction Of Massive Calgary Building (VIDEO)

How The Bow Was Built (Watch)

It’s fast becoming an iconic landmark of Calgary’s skyline and a time lapse video of the construction of The Bow is showcasing just how the massive structure went from nothing to the tallest building in western Canada.

It’s a short video shot entirely on a cell phone and, thanks to time lapse shots, depicts every step of the construction process that ended with the completion of the 236-metre structure, occupied by energy giant Cenovus.

The tower, which uses the curvature of a bow as its architectural signature, has 58 floors – two for retail, three for gardens and 53 for office space. It also has 1,7 million sq ft of office space, 900,000 sq ft of glass and a foot print of 190,000 sq ft.
