After Hurricane Sandy stormed its way through the northeastern U.S., photos showing its destruction have surfaced.

Sandy touched down in New Jersey Monday evening, leaving millions without power in the U.S., and resulting in serious damages and the deaths of at least 55 along the East Coast. When it battered Caribbean countries last week, Sandy killed at least 69.

Parts of Canada continue to experience effects of the so-called 'Frankenstorm,' including strong winds and rain, power outages, and travel disruptions. One Toronto woman has been killed.

Photos of the disaster show its devastating effects; streets flooded, homes and neighbourhoods wrecked, fires burning, and more.
