'Less Than Kind' Season 4: Cast, Creators Reflect On Canadian Comedy (VIDEO)

WATCH: Farewell, 'Less Than Kind' -- We'll Miss You!

Saying goodbye to a much-loved TV show is always hard, especially if that particular show has gone through the ringer multiple times. In the case of "Less Than Kind," the Canadian comedy helmed by former "Kids In The Hall" funnyman Mark McKinney, this rings especially true.

Let's go through the hardships: First, "Less Than Kind" was cancelled by CityTV after its first season. Then it was resurrected by Movie Central and TMN, and began to air on HBO Canada. Once it started picking up steam, the show's star and patriarch, Maury Chaykin, died of a heart valve infection, leaving the show in the lurch. But still it plodded on, doing a third season; the Winnipeg-shot saga is now finally (and regrettably) coming to an end with the fourth and final season premiering on June 2.

HuffPost Canada TV sat down with McKinney, co-executive producers/creators Marvin Kaye and Chris Sheasgreen, and stars Jesse Camacho (from Montreal via Skype) and Wendel Meldrum to reflect on the growth and success of "Less Than Kind." We chatted about everything from shooting in the freezing winters of Winnipeg to the loss of Chaykin to the show's apparently "perfect" ending.

Blechers, we're going to miss you.

"Less Than Kind" premieres with two episodes on June 2 at 8 p.m. ET/MT on HBO Canada.
