New allegations have surfaced implicating Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and his known associate, Payman Aboodowleh, in the alleged jailhouse beating of Scott MacIntyre, the former common law spouse of Ford's sister. Ford's estranged brother-in-law,
A statement of claim filed by MacIntyre alleges that Aboodowleh acted as Ford's agent and with the mayor's "explicit or tacit approval" in contacting Aedan Petros to "send a message" to MacIntyre.
Petros is accused of breaking MacIntyre's leg and knocking out his teeth during an assault at a Toronto jail. According to the claim, prison guards allowed the attack to take place.
The statement of claim also alleges that the video in which Rob Ford says "I'll kill him" was referencing MacIntyre and was a conversation between the mayor and Aboodowleh.
Aboodowleh, who also goes by the name Peter Payman, was Ford's assistant football coach at Don Bosco Catholic Secondary School, before going on to coach the team himself. Aedan Petros was a member of the team coached by Ford and Abdoodowleh.
According to The Globe And Mail, Aboodowleh "served as an enforcer" for Alessandro “Sandro” Lisi.
Lisi, currently on bail from drug charges, was described by Ford as his "friend".
