Teen mom Kelsie Hodgin was looking to buy a house where she could raise her five-month-old daughter, but after winning $7 million in the Atlantic Lottery, she's going to build her own.

Hodgin, a 19-year-old Bell Aliant sales rep from Southfield, N.B. who is currently on maternity leave, was househunting with her boyfriend when she bought a ticket at Wilson's Go Store in Sussex, News 91.9 reported.

On Thursday, she woke up to a message from her boyfriend telling her to check the numbers, according to The Canadian Press.

Sure enough, Hodgin went back to the store and found out she was a winner. She picked up her cheque in Moncton, N.B. the following day.

Hodgin is relieved to know she'll be able to take care of her daughter with the prize money.

"She’s going to have a great life. I’m just excited for her when she grows up," she told the radio station.

Hodgin won one of the three big lottery prizes that were handed out in New Brunswick in the past two months, said CTV News.

A Lower Coverdale couple won almost $10 million in the Lotto 6/49 draw last week.
