If you thought removing 232 teeth from a teenager's mouth was out of the ordinary, doctors are now sharing details of removing a single tooth out of a man's nose.
After suffering from monthly chronic nosebleeds and regular tonsillitis, doctors in Saudi Arabia found a half-inch tooth growing inside a 22-year-old patient's nasal cavity.
The report states that the patient had straight teeth for his age, a normal soft and hard palate and a tongue. Other doctors are calling the surgery, and the photo of the tooth inside the nose, remarkable.
"It's an unusual case of an extra tooth — certainly, the most impressive intranasal photo I think I've ever seen of one. I've never seen the tooth actually in there," one doctor told Live Science.
