Benedict Cumberbatch Leaves Girlfriend Behind At Party

Benedict Flies Solo At Fabulous Party

It seems as if Benedict Cumberbatch isn't ready to take his relationship with his girlfriend to the next level (and by next level, we mean a fabulous party).

On Sunday, the 38-year-old Brit attended the launch of Flaunt Magazine's The Grind Issue in London without his lady love Sophie Hunter by his side. "The Imitation Game" star looked dapper in a blue suit with a starched white button-up, proving that he's still one of the most stylish gents in the biz.

However, the evening before, the "Sherlock" stud and Sophie were spotted enjoying a dinner at London's Quaglino's restaurant, although they took pains to not be photographed together. The pair were last spotted at a friend's wedding in September, but again they were careful to not be seen standing beside each other.

It's just more proof that TV's most stylish detective is trying to focus the attention on his career and the projects he cares about, rather than his personal life. The actor recently opened up to Out magazine, saying that he would do anything to protect gay rights.

"I think if you’re going to sell yourself as a leading man in Hollywood to say 'I’m gay,' sadly, is still a huge obstacle," he told Out. "We all know actors who are [gay] who don’t want to talk about it or bring it up, or who deny it. I don’t really know what they do to deal with it. Human rights movements and sexual and gay rights movements have made huge social progress in the last 40 years, without a doubt, but there’s a lot more work to be done. I think it’s extraordinary that every time we get to a point where there’s any kind of trouble in society, people are scapegoated very, very, very quickly."

We heart him:
